 STATEMENT OF PURPOSEI believe "Life is a learning process". I was so eager about learning each day that I started school at the age of 5. My father is a technician, through whom; I had the opportunity to repair home appliances. I had my first hands-on-experience when I was 12. Recently, I supervised the construction of a just over one million dollar building. This project was done simultaneously with my M.Sc. courses took around three years. During school times, I was studying almost every subject with an ardent desire. In high school, I was selected as the representative of our region (Shemiran, Tehran, Iran) for Physics Olympiad. Gradually, my interests come closer to Mechanics, and I was admitted in Mechanical engineering (Manufacturing) in 1995. Along with studying @ the university and working part time, I was taking part in Sports and Art activities. Among them, I participated in Taekwando, mountain climbing, cycling and running sport teams of the university. As I was entering to the university, I and some other people established the new theatre activities of our university, as well as setting up the physical infrastructure. Our theatre group has won a number of national awards in festivals. I actually passed the entrance exam for M.Sc. degree one year before graduation. Among friends, I am noted as a person who can accomplish seemingly impossible things. I enjoy doing teamwork, and I like very much to be a member of a dynamic team. In 1998, I and some other students decided to establish a scientific/Industrial association related to our major. After a lot of running around, we founded "Association for Students of Manufacturing Engineering". After three years, It is followed up by our professors and finally, "Society of Manufacturing Engineering of Iran" ( www.SMEIR.com ) was established. One of the SMEIR activities is holding annual conference of manufacturing engineering. I like teaching as a part of my work. I'd like to continue studying in a PhD program in manufacturing systems & optimization, robotics & automation, and intelligent manufacturing.
